New Record News and imminent Western Dates!

If we can escape this Endless Eastern Snowstorm Joel E. Hunt and I are heading out West tomorrow to Alberta and BC for a bunch of shows. Some brand new places we’ve never played and some we have. Can’t wait to find spring in the mountains. Check the shows page and come along or send friends and family and requests to Facebook etc.

Starting with Twin Butte General Store March 19, Communitea Canmore March 20 and the Nick in Calgary Saturday the 21 and then running down to revist our friends in Cranbrook for Sunday and playing around in the mountains most fo the week (Nelson, Rossland) before finishing again in Powell River.

Very exciting news round here is a new album in the works. We’ll get it out by June in time for the festivals this summer. 2 weeks ago tonight I picked up Tim O’Brien and his lovely gal Jan at the airport in Halifax quite late for an inspired week of music making in a beautiful cabin I built by hand on my land. Can’t wait to share the results. My first recording project I’ve done at home and the first that required a backhoe to clear a road through the snow to get the studio gear in. Exciting. Look for it on True North records sometime in June or July, inshalla.
